The ‘Gas Girls’ earned themselves a thoroughly deserved 3 points against South-West Regional League Premier Division leaders, Sherborne Town.

Despite conceding in the opening seconds, Rovers didn’t look back. A Georgia Vandries hat-trick a fourth goal by Abi Todd and an inspired display by goalkeeper Charlotte Cousin was enough to ensure the three points stayed at Lockleaze.

Despite some recent disappointing results, performances have been of a high-level and it could be argued that Rovers have been unfortunate, but Sunday’s performance and result have given the ‘Gas Girls’ a much-needed confidence boost.

Rovers currently sit in third place, with the top five all in contention for the title. As we hit the half-way stage of our first season in the new league, the ‘Gas Girls’ have remained competitive in every fixture. A great foundation to work on for the rest of the season and beyond.
